Over 60 minutes of Class 33 action. Although shot over a short period of time 1985, 86 and 87 the DVD provides a fitting tribute to these great little locomotives. They are captured at work with a variety of trains including Mk.1, Mk.2, Pullman and D E M U stock as well as freight and ballast.

We get straight into the action at Bristol T. M. with a spirited departure by 063. Besides having a good look at 052 and then watching her depart there is plenty of other action at this location.

037 arrives at Exeter St. Davids with a varied collection of vintage wagons. As she runs down the incline from Exeter Central it is obvious that at least one wagon is suffering from a hot box. 037 is seen again at Exeter St. Davids this time, with a passenger train.

Green liveried 008 gets into the action at Basingstoke with a nice set of Mk. 1's. 109 comes to an amazing stand and you will need to watch this again in order to believe it. The Basingstoke scenes are complimented by some lovely atmospheric backlit shots after a cloudburst of 011 with a long welded rail train and 043 in charge of a train for Waterloo.

Highlight of the DVD is perhaps a visit to Waterloo in August 1986. This is enthralling footage and you will really get the feeling of having stepped back in time

As you watch numerous members of the class arriving and departing with trains and making various light diesel movements.

There are plenty of stirring starts to savour. Even at Salisbury where it is tipping it down with rain and the track is very slippery the 33s waste no time in getting away.It is also at Salisbury that we see 028 arrive dragging failed 50035 and her ex Waterloo train. After 028 has removed the failed 50, 048 is then put in charge of the train back to 008 gets into the action again at Norwich with The Orient Express Silver Jubilee.

There are some lovely shots of her being refuelled at Crown Point and the Driver placing the headboard on what will be the front of the locomotive when leaving Norwich. The whole train is then turned on the triangle with the assistance of 31417 before departing.

Other locations are Dawlish, Reading, Westbury, Taunton, Andover and Ealing Broadway.
The thirty three locomotives featured are - 001, 008, 009, 011, 012, 015, 022, 026, 027, 028, 033, 037, 039, 040, 043, 045, 046, 048, 052, 055, 056, 063, 064, 065, 101, 107, 109, 111, 113, 115, 117, 201 and 208.
