The series is for those of you who like a variety rather than just one Type. If you have been collecting our one class titles you may already have some of the footage on this DVD.

Included here are Class 25, 45 and 47. The 45’s became a priority to cover on the Midland as HST’s would soon encroach on their main duties. Class 26, 27 and 33 are included on Volume two when we reach 1985. This is due to the fact that there were other priorities  in ‘83 and ‘84 such as 40’s because of  imminent withdrawal and 45’s for the aforementioned reason.

A gentle start to this DVD sees a leisurely 45077 creep up to a signal at Cricklewood and then move forward with one van.

We arrive at Bedford to see terminating commuter trains from St. Pancras comprising Mk.1 stock with groaning axle boxes. Also seen stoppers and action on the fast lines. We get our first sight of a 25 at Nottingham with 25133 with  vans.

More 25 action at Leicester with 25210 hauling Mk.1, 2 and 3 stock and 25185 with Ketton cement. The mix at Leicester also includes 45106, 45137 and 45115 with a late running departure.

Class 47 joins the show at Healey Mills with 47308 on freight. There is embarrassment at Sheffield involving 45063. No secrets given away here. Also at Sheffield 47054 and 45054.

Dragging at Preston are 47365 dragging 86101. 47598 – 86230, 47229 – 86247 and  47520 – 87006.

Highlights are; a blinding departure from Appleby by 47524. The whole stop is included by way of a build up. Other take aways worthy of note are 47555 from Chesterfield and 47582 wrong line at Stowmarket.
